because if your here and asking that your must be one or the other.
but to answer your question. attention, 90% of women have this weird complex by which to feel important they must do something that garners the "positive" attention of a man. even if that thing is something they honestly have no interest in or actually don't like.
more often than not though they tend to not learn anything about the subject they pretend to like, and are shocked and offended when they are discovered to be putting on a facade.
further more they have so little interest in the subject that often when they finally form some kind of a relationship they will attempt to make you lose interest in it so they no longer have to pretend to like it. and occasionally you find a patient girl who will continue to pretend she likes it, but they too often are waiting to stop pretending.
there probably is a name for this phenomena but as of now I do not know what it would be
