Cheer me up, /vp/.

I was chaining for an Abra for 1+ hours, when I finally found a shiny. I became super fucking retarded and swapped out my pokemon to bring his HP down to 1, and he teleported away.

If you found it once, you can do it again! The next one will have better stats too. Just take a little break now, eat some chocolate, walk around the streets, watch a movie, then grab the pokeradar and make sure to have some quick balls at hand (or a master ball).

Yes. An Abra's catch rate is high enough that an Ultra Ball almost guarantees capture.

Two words: Quick Ball.

But yeah, the lead Pokemon having arena trap or shadow tag could be useful too. And don't attempt to take the hp down to 1 unless you have false swipe.

Yeah I made the mistake of starting the chain wit ha Staryu I had at the front of my party that had 40 PP total, so I decided to go with it. What a mistake that was. I had false swipe on my Sneasel.
