i honestly think that most of the pokemon in gen /vp/ are good or great. just like any pokemon game there are some designs that i dislike. i'll admit that the bad ones are worse than the worst ones in gamefreak games but nobodoy ever likes every design in a generation and i've been told that some people really like the ones that i hate.

for the record i really hate the following:

By your logic Yellow doesn't have a starter either, because you only get a single Electric-type instead of choosing between Grass, Fire, or Water. But you wouldn't argue that, would you? Just like a starter is something you start with, a trio is a group of three. Clauncher was one of my favorite designs of VI but I did NOT like Clawitzer when I first saw it at all.

Then I used Aura Sphere and Dragon Pulse with it.

Now it's one of my all time favorite Pokemon.

No, see, I know that's exactly what YOU mean when you say "legendary trio", but that phrase has a literal meaning which people commonly use. You've adopted a general term to refer to something specific, and are telling people they're wrong for using the phrase according to its dictionary definition. X and Y have a trio. They just don't have a "trio" as you've defined it.

Again, this is about either changing the definition of legendary trio to fit XY's lack of one when what it has is just reusing a previous gen's trio as roamers (other games have done this, except this still had their own trio as well), or just fucking manning up and admitting it lacks a legendary trio in the proper definition.
