It was too fast paced. When did Red evolve his Caterpie into Metapod before battling Brock? Overall I think they rushed it a bit. But other than that, perfect reflection of game mechanics in the anime. Definitely a huge improvement over the lil' kiddie anime. Finally, seeing Pokemon attacks hit other pokemon, Squirtle nearly killing Charmander etc. But I think it was too fast paced. Hopefully it'll settle down in the next few episodes.
