What level would be a good level to evolve my bred and ev'd trained team? I hear that after lv50 would be ideal but I've even heard levels up near 98-99. Is that true much less necessary when we battle with lv50 all?

Step 1: write down the moveset you want this 'mon to have.

Step 2: go to serebii and check when it learns each move by level-up. Write down the level of each move next to the move. Obviously TMs, MTs, and Egg Moves don't matter here.

Step 3: level your pokemon to the highest level you wrote down. Then begin evolving it.

The reason some say to evolve at Lv 98-99 is because for the mons that evolve by level up, apparently if you leave them unevolved, they gain experience at a faster rate. So things with 2 evolutions you evolve at Lv 99 and then again at 100 for the fastest leveling.
