Good call when you made mention of Pokémon that could be done better. A lot of Pokémon need to be redone. Gen V was in the right step.

Just a plain unimpressive fish. It's eyes are on one side of it's body and it lays flat.
Ability: "Legal Size" - The larger this Pokemon is, the higher it's ATK. The smaller it is, the higher it's SPEED. This Pokemon cannot be caught in the wild if it is smaller than a certain size.

You can only catch ones with high attack. If you want high speed, you have to breed for size.

I was shocked when Durant was Steel/Bug and Heatmor was Fire. I was happy to see both come to pass and them being rivals but I was indeed surprised at their typings. Gen V delivered for me.

Speaking of cross-breeding, I was expecting something with the DNA structure that wasn't MegaEvolution. Going back to my post wanting a Quagga, if you bred certain Pokémon, you'd get a new species altogether. They only did this with Manaphy but It'd be cool as shit to see a handful of Pokémon or even a whole roster dedicated to crossbreeds.

Actually their bites are known to have enzymes that rot flesh, which in Pokémon translates to poison. At the most, give it Immunity or Poison Heal.
