Maybe 10. I had a caterpie and stantler in 2nd gen. Whismur and shuppet in sapphire, my banette's in my diamond. Lotad in flora sky, ditto in YAFRH. Oh yeah and a ferroseed in black. Found a helioptile in Y, pretty happy because I actually wanted to use him in my current run. I've had others, can't remember them though.

When I was a kid, I didn't know what a Shiny Pokemon was. I just thought my Ampharos was naturally brown because pokemon with nicknames in pokemon stadium turned different colors. But apparently I had one. Shame about not being able to transfer.

Didn't run into another shiny until years later and Black and White came out. Within the first week of playing, I got a Shiny Pidove... would have been cool if it weren't a female, so it turned out to be one of those pokemon without any thing differentiating it. I gave it to my friend.

Not long after that in Fire Red, and I saw a shiny Zubat. I love bats, and I love Zubat, so I was happy. Unfortunately my dumb ass forgot that Golbat wouldn't evolve until the post game quest was done and now it's a rather week crobat.

The last Shiny I saw before buying Y was a shiny Spoink, and the gods hated me because I had a person following me, and her pokemon fainted it. I tried fainting her pokemon, but I wasn't fast enough... One of my bros actually got a Shiny Spoink for me when I told them how. I don't know how and I kind of don't want to ask, but they did it. Hope it's legit. I like my yellow Grumpig.

And last month I accidentally got a shiny Noivern while breeding.

Odd egg hatched into a shiny Magby on a Silver rom I was playing back in the day.

I was soft-resetting for nature on the gift Eevee in Soul Silver, stopped because one of them was shiny.

Encountered a shiny Ferroseed while progressing through Chargestone Cavern.

On a side note, in my copy of X, I've already encountered 3 shinies, all from horde-battle EV grinding: Psyduck, Hoppip, and Cubchoo.

I also found a shiny zubat, and a shiny magikarp in silver. I didn't realize that the "red gyarados" was actually the shiny form, and thought if I evolved it I would get a golden gyarados.

From multiple playthroughs of R/S/E and LG, and a playthrough of Black, never got a single shiny. Had a shiny Spinda and Golbat in diamond, though.

Ive bred 5 shinys (eevee ralts mr mime chespin whismur) all within 400 eggs. my modest mr mime has 31 ivs in everything except attack which is a zero, feels good to have a theortically perfect pokemon. got a shiny smoochum while ev training and gave it away to a friend without even checking the nature or ivs.
