>leech seed and toxic used the same damage algorithm (N * max(1, int(0.0625*MaxHP) causing the two to stack, making leech seed deal double the damage of toxic and toxic dealing the double the damage of leech seed, ad infinitum
>toxic turned into poison if the pokemon with it switched out
>crits were speed based, so fast pokemon had insane crit chances
>focus energy CUT your crit rate by 75% instead of doubling it
>criticals ignored all stat increases on both parties, so a critical could in fact end up doing LESS damage than a normal attack when enough stat increases were stacked
>frozen pokemon never thaw unless hit with a fire move
>haze thaws the enemy for some reason though
>counter could be used on OHKO moves, and when using a substitute
>oh but it only works on normal and fighting attacks
>every attack, except swift, has at least a 1/256 chance of missing
>whirlwind and roar are useless in versus
>if you kill someone with hyper beam you don't have to recharge it, rape train choo chooooo
>rest restores status but doesn't undo stat lowering effects
>if you stat boost too high the number overflows and rolls over to become insanely low
