AG Ash, with Sinnoh Ash as a close runner up.

Sinnoh Ash lost some of Ash's funny tendencies, ending up as somewhat of an empty protagonist, that was fairly competent.

AG Ash overall, had the charisma of OS Ash, but was actually an intelligent person like his Sinnoh counterpart.

Best girl is May. Her development throughout AG was nice, and didn't feel drawn out, as she went from someone who practically hated Pokemon, to being one who loves the creatures, as she got better in her journey to become a Pokemon Coordinator.

I'm glad she had almost equal screentime, with Ash in AG. She's a fantastic deuteragonist.

Incase anyone asks, yes I ship the two. Drew is a homosexual.

I'm not attracted to any of them because they're canonically 10 and drawn to look 12-14, and I am twenty-five years old.

But I just found her unpleasant to watch on screen. She was basically OS Ash but without the great foils. Misty was funny, competent, and charming before she got her personality zapped in Johto. Dawn was dedicated and driven to meet her goals.

Dawn didn't know what she was doing and she was unpleasant as well. She wasn't clever, funny, smart, competent, or even really hard-working. Even Max was a better character.

Did you watch Hoenn at all? May was the best characteriszed of all the female characters, constantly going through realistic emotional ranges and having constant character growth against her rivals. She's also the last female character to actually noticeably change throughout her saga. Dawn and Iris had no real personality growth (unless you count Dawn stop crying when she lost)

Not sure if this is exactly true, but I really hate the newer character designs, especially on faces. Everyone's heads seem to be getting bigger, and the lack of shading on even noses anymore makes characters look 2blank4me. It's kind of creepy.

In the last B/W episode Professor Oak mentions Tracey has been visiting Misty while Ash was away.

The Chronicles episodes showed us some of those visits, so we know it's been happening.

What Misty needed imo was more arcs that focused on the aspect of being a Water Pokemon Master.

Events such as the Whirl Cup and the Wave Race in Alto Mare are great examples of this.

Misty isn't high on my list of Ash's Pokegirls, but she was a fun character, even if I don't ship her with Ash.
