>>16052212It's not about the pokemon being powerful with an eviolite at all. Eviolite resonates with a pokemons capacity to evolve. If a pokemon right now gains no bonuses from an Eviolite, then that means that pokemon has no capacity to evolve, flat and simple.
To later give it an evolution would retcon that (and of course in the gen that evolution is available I guess it's bonuses would come into play).
Of course, they arn't beyond retconing for whatever reason. Magnemite says hi from Gen 1 -> 2, and all the new Fairies say hi this gen. It's be unusual, but not unprecedented. But people treat the Eviolite = No Evo as Law, when it doesn't have to be.
