shelgon only breaks out of its shell when it evolves. it doesn't make sense for it to be a move.

Read the pokedex entries once in a while.

Also metagross has no gears, so shifting them makes no sense.
Shift Gear on Golurk on the other hand does make sense.

Thick Club is 2x, Parental Bond is 1.5x. If MegaMarowak had more than 33% more Attack than Marowak, then it would compensate the lack of Thick Club (1.5 * 1.333 = 2). A +50 boost in Attack would be enough, just do the math yourself.

Fucker can canonically fly at mach 2, yet he doesn't get the priority flying move ability, nor Espeed, and for the longest time only had 80-something speed (Buffed to 101 in gen 6 IIRC).
