>doesnt translate Pokémon names

Now, I can understand characters for consistancy and not having a dub for characters of the day, and attacks because it won't be obvious half of the time, but really, they should be putting the appropriate English Pokémon names for their English subs. The Japanese Pokémon names and English are just as different as the attack names in both languages. Sure it may be easy to deduce which Pokémon it's referring to most of the time, but there's really no point in using the Japanese names when there are English ones that the audience of the sub is more used to, especially with a worldwide release like X/Y where we knew many English names before Japanese ones.
Is this literally just for weaboo cred or is there a reason why they ignore translating Pokémon names in good fansubs?
