im trying to get a shiny via breeding with masuda methode
i have a box full of eggs now.

can i hatch my eggs then reset my game so i still have all my eggs or is shiny determined when you get the egg?

Shiny is predetermined upon getting the egg.

Trainer Shiny ID and Pokemon Shiny ID are, but that changes depending on who you trade it to.

Each trainer has a hidden and static Shiny ID. If that matches the pokemon's Shiny ID when its first seen/caught then the pokemon is shiny, if not its normal. With the new instachecker you can find out 1) your shiny ID and 2)the egg's shiny ID. If you wanted to you could then find someone with the same shiny ID as the egg and give them the egg, then have them trade it back after hatching.

There are people who would argue this is cheating or unethical in some way. What matters is if you think its unethical and that you hide your shameful secret from everyone you ever meet.
