So how do you go about breeding something when you start with two pokemon with 0 perfect EVs? i.e. a pokemon that isnt available in a friend safari, and possibly also having no decent-IVed dittos?

Let's just say I wanted to breed a Zubat. Do you just breed two of them until they have the nature & ability you want, then from there breed the hell out of them and hope you get lucky breaks?
