Bulky Toxicroak set

Currently using a Toxicroak with Substitute, Bulk Up, Drain Punch and Sucker Punch, but I find myself always being in a 50/50 situation once the enemy sends out a ghost type when I have my setup completed. Either he oneshots me when I use bulk up or Suckerpunch-PP runs out, or I oneshot him.

Is there a better alternative to Sucker-Punch? Should I change something else in the moveset? Or do I just have to put up with that situation?

if your Toxicroak is slower than the Ghosts that try to wall you, you could run Payback. Twice the PP of Sucker Punch (which ghosts love to fuck up) and does 100 base damage if they go first. they don't even have to use an attacking move.

This allows you to free up some EVs from Speed and put it into something else. Or even use a speed reducing nature. Since you are running so bulky with subs it doesn't hurt you to be slow.

I think Sucker Punch used to be great but now its faily predictable and in today's metagame people tend to use the opportunity to stall you, get a free switch, or even worse start setting up.

Throughout the second half of 5th Gen I ran:
Toxicroak @Air Balloon
252Atk/252Def/4SpDef
Drain Punch
Sucker Punch
Ice Punch
Bulk Up

Minimal HP investment means more recovery, and you fucking EAT earthquakes after 1 or 2 BU's. (assuming your opponent isn't a retard) Ice punch for Gliscor and dragons, but of course Ghosts are going to ruin your day, that's what the rest of the team is for. Personally I'd run Sub strictly with Focus Punch, but then again with the improved Infiltrator and Talonflame running around, the set seems kinda offputting IMO.

Not to mention it's 100% walled by Azumarill, among other fairys.
