You guys do realize hatching shinys misses the point of shiny pokemon entirely, right?
Pokeradar, Friend Safari and Chain Fishing too

You're supposed to run into them randomly in the wild, it's supposed to be an amazing unexpected experience

Shiny pokemon are supposed to be near unique and truly the rarest of the rare and obtaining them was all down to luck

You can own a thousand shinys but still you guys will never have truly encountered one

Bottom like is it's just yet another aspect of the game GF completely dropped the ball on, because they want it to be a magical adventure, but abuse RNG and play the number game in the process.

The game designers have had a method for increasing chances in breeding a shiny for a few gens now. Breeding is just as intended as a method.

And this gen added more methods intended to be used to get shinies. OP you're not the one to decide what shinies are supposed to be, especially if you contradict the actual games. The IV checker excluded in those methods of course.

I always use a jap ditto at the final stage of my breeding. If I get a shiny with good IVs and egg moves before I get the perfect pokemon I was looking for then that's A-Ok. But I never force a shiny, just make getting one I like a little more likely.

if you're going to use external shit to aid you in getting shinies anyways, why not just cut the bullshit and just pokegen them. Cuts out time wasting bullshit so then you'll have more than 7 pokemon to choose from in the end. i'm literally not iv breeding, and neither should anyone else if it's trial and error like it always has been.

I found a shiny Tangela in the wild once. Even though it's one of the better looking ones, I don't really like shinies because most of them look like utter crap and vastly inferior to the original.

There are maybe 30 good looking shinies and most of those are just the original colour with a slightly different hue (Garchomp, Glaceon, Scyther, Blissey, Articuno, etc.)

People don't get enough satisfaction out of the game, so they need to breed pokemon for 1000 boxes to feel like they accomplished something, so being that THEY did it, they're butthurt that you're not suffering from RNG timesink. If you already did it in one gen, for literally hundreds of hours, why do it again?

This is the worst idea for shinys possible.

They are great as they are, a purely cosmetic luxury item. If you want to change shineys, sure! Change them, but keep them cosmetic changes, mono color shineys, different wing patterns, etc.
By changing their stats/typing you change the game and suddenly make certain shinys needed for competitive battle. Now suddenly everyone is hacking or expected to spend 6 weeks doing the things they DON'T want to do in a game, just so they can eventually do the things they DO want to.

I'd love to just see some shiny tiers. 2 or 3 different kinds of shiny with different rarities so autists can breed 200 boxes for their super rare shiny, but casuals can still have something a little different from just the normal pokemon. But purely casual so not to change the game.

Got my latest shiny, a Chandelure, in a friend safari. Timid nature with 31 IVs in sp. attack and speed. It was clearly meant to be.

And i never play pokemon for a long time anyway, usually im super into it for about 2-3months, than i dont play for a year or two, find old cartidges on a rainy day and the cycle repeats.
