You'd go down to 75% from SR, then 25% from Stone Edge, then heal yourself back to 75%. Then get hit for 25% on Stone edge maybe down to 50% if they don't predict it and Earthquake, but then you're back to 100% with the slightest amount of prediction. Or with a dead garchomp since you can just gleam instead of roost.

Also OP you're a faggot. Only Garchomp and Dragonite have an easier time with most fairies. And Garchomp runs Iron Head or even Poison Jab, Gen 4 Garchomp never would have dreamed of using those for coverage. There's a decent amount fairies and listing their check or counters while calling them a non-threat is retarded. Who would have guessed things have checks and counters? If Garchomp wants to not get fucked over it probably wants Sword's Dance but it's not going to do shit if it also has Stealth rocks in its movepool. Yeah something else can set them up but your opponent really sucks if they let you set up hazards and boosting without retaliating. In that case you shouldn't just assume that you'll always have swords dance and rocks up.

For most sets, you should run 248 HP / 252 Def. This gives you enough bulk to survive Stone Edges. But if you're boosting, 52 Spe allows you to flinchax past Rotom-W, which is a pretty big deal. But I probably wouldn't keep my Togekiss in on Rotom-W anyway, so.

Even if you're running taunt, you can just defog against a sweeper or something defensive who doesn't know taunt. Switching out to the taunter and actually using the move in total takes 2 turns, you use one turn to defog.

Aqua Jet's only good if that Chomp is well past half its health. Again, Azumarill's a check not a counter.

Togekiss could survive a +2 Stone Edge and Roost off, but even that's a pretty dicey idea since the OHKO-risk is still there. I'd call it a better check, but still a check.

Garchomp is laughable this gen, honestly. There are many ways to counter him now. It's pathetic that people are holding onto it like it's the messiah of pokemon and slapping it on every team. My Draco Meteor Noivern destroys it every time unless it's scarfed (and 80% of the ones I've seen online are yache berry/life orb), and then it's predictable as shit.

Considering Togekiss is safe to both of Garchomp's STABs and most don't run Stone Edge because that leaves them defenseless against stuff like Skarmory, Ferrothorn, etc.

Not sure might with a bellydrum set (inb4 Lel gimmick, it's not anymore gimmicky than most set up sweepers or priority abusers). If you run a Choice band set and assuming you aren't choice locked at that point, Azu is bulky enough to take most attacks and use Play Rough anyway.

It did work though, no was expecting dragons to be useless. Most dragons do have a hard time, it's just that some have an easier time than others. Yeah, it takes effort on the fairies part, but you actually have to use more strategy with dragons, and some have to carry Steel moves now which they never would have done without fairies. That's not to mention that even non-fairies who carry Dazzling gleam or Play Rough can be a nasty surprise especially if your team consists of a lot of dragons. They definitely are nerfed, but I don't think anyone would have been satisfied unless dragons became completely gimped but even then you would hear complaints going the opposite way.

There always was. The point was never that you couldn't kill Garchomp. It was that you couldn't hard counter it with anything. Even that stopped being valid with Gen 5 and Ferrothorn actually being able to use Garchomp's health against it with leech seed with a bunch of things ready to force it out.

But ever since it was introduced there were always revenge killers. Scarfed anything if Chomp wasn't scarfed. Anything with ice shard if it didn't have a yache berry. Several forms of priority even if it did. It wasn't nearly "unstoppable". It was just rough to deal with because you didn't want it killing something of yours first, which it usually did. Hence the entire thing about Wobbuffet being ubers for all those generations.

No it isn't.

Besides, it gets shit SE coverage compared to shadow ball+focus miss. On top of that, 80BP really isn't that great and Gengar can't boost it's SpAtk.

Focus miss missed.

The solution for both would be firing at the opponent multiple times, no?

You can get off a sub and fire once with just a sub+3 attacks set and even if you switch you can't recover health.

The worst part is, even with sub, you still lose to a sucker punch user who isn't retarded and spams it.

You win against one with a subdisable set.
