-Is this going to be a game/rom hack/computer game?
Hopefully, but right now we're just discussing things and collaborating on ideas.
-Isn't this just Gen /vp/ 2.0?
We're doing our own thing. Gen /vp/ is mostly out of their creative stages by now, we want people to be able to share their creativity. Plus, Australia.
-KANGAROO STARTER?!/1?1
There are tons of Kangaroo ideas to work with, chill son.

Since I've been away for a while, I wanna discuss the ideas I really like: The birds in the OP. Love them. What is the type of the first stage, though, and how do they evolve? Stone? Racer Roadrunner: Fucking love it. Velvet Worm: Looks like an actual Pokemon. Fantastic. Fighting Wombat: I want to see this built on more, I like the concept. Reminds me of a cartoon that had "Mortal Wombat" in it but I can't remember what. Boomerang Bird: Again, love the concept. Maybe it can evolve into a tri-wing, or start as an aboriginal throwing stick (doesn't return), evolve into a boomerang (returns), and evolves into a tri-wing (better control)?
Tsplodey
>>16091511 >Kingfisher evos I suggested a system of specific move + level up (eg Sonicboom + Level = Kookaburra). Wasn't discussed much otherwise though.
>Roadrunner It's great. Can we call it Panorunner?
>Worm Agreed
>Wombat There's a few good wombat ideas floating around. Keen to see how they turn out.
>Boomerang animals Someone also posted a Boomerang snake that was very cool. We could have Snake > Bird like Remoraid > Octillery.

New York - 1590-5145-3499 {3190}
Furthermore, I want to build on the legendary trio. I still wanna do the Venom Trio, but people who argued "all the same creature" have a point. So let's go with spiders. The Venom Trio, like all trios, can have each Pokemon represent something different. Since they're the Venom Trio and the idea behind them is "You don't find them, they find you", how about they represent stages of loss and grief or types of death? If stages of loss and grief, we can have two legendaries (including the Rainbow Serpent) that fill in the whole set of 5. If types of death, "Slow and painful" (poison-type rollout spider), "Quick" (1pp OHKO poison move), and something else?

>>16092484 Ah, it's a nice design but it's straying too far from my idea D:
Kitick and Kiboom.
Kitick, the "Nervous Bird Pokemon" is a small Kiwi bird Pokemon with enormous explosive potential but doesn't want to use that potential. It's dex entry reads: "This little bird has the explosive potential to destroy a small village, but is terrified of it's own power."
After using self-destruct or explosion in battle and reviving in the same battle, it evolves into Kiboom.
Kiboom, the "Blasted Bird Pokemon", is also a small Kiwi bird, but with a dark-charred body, no feathers, and cracks across it's body from the explosion. The feathers around it's neck have flared out to look like an explosion, and it's demeanor has gone from nervous to violently angry. It's dex entry reads: "After having caused a violent explosion, this little bird has become bitter and wants nothing more but to cause more destruction."

What exactly have you discussed about it? Because when i think a Fire/Ground Thorny Devil i'm seeing Superheated spikes (Kind of like when metal gets overheated)
A Bipedal Fire starter. I like it.
A Possum is usually quite speedy so that does work. If someone designed it like a thief or scavenger that'd be cool.

guys guys i think i might have a good idea! a 6 pack of fish since australia is famous for beer (also its based on litter and schools of fish) and it evolves into a swordfish in a bottle litterally thats all i have for the evo but i thin it should be some type of marlin/swordfish and the bottle fits the litter theme (and also ships in bottles) thoughts? obviously the art is rough
