Does anybody ever feel shitty for liking Charizard? He stinks competitively (I think the Mega Evos are okay though?) and has brought nothing but grief to the fandom due to overvaluing from Generation 1 gamers.

He's my favorite tho, I bought Red cause he looked cool on the cover...

What the hell does that sentence even mean?

Charizard was underused from gens 2-4 largely because of his common weaknesses, the pre-physical/special split and later Stealth Rock. I recommend you actually fucking play the game yourself rather than people what every cunt on the Internet says.

Y sounds meh because of typing on paper, but it has a higher base Sp.Atk than Mewtwo, and gets Drought (Boots his fire moves, and makes water hit x1 instead of x2). His special defense takes care of electric attacks and thunders accuracy is reduced in sun, he only really needs to worry about rocks. He also gets free Solar Beams more or less. Yeah he needs rapid spin support but you should have that anyway.
