Just pitching in my two cents: I love this idea. I've never been to Australia, but I've always found it fascinating. I really hope you guys continue with this since it looks really cool, in my opinion. That being said, a lot of very creative ideas crash and burn on /vp/ (see: Pokémon Comfy), so I hope this one doesn't meet the same fate. It's loosely based off of cave paintings and how these paintings would depict spirits. Its a poison(/ghost?) pokemon that is constantly afraid of the dark although it only lives in caves, it cries when it's scared. It would work like Future Sight, except that the second attack would be weaker like with Parental Bond, since dealing x2 damage would be a tad broken, plus you would also get a chance to inflict a status effect on a second foe with moves like Body Slam.

>>16101972 Yeah, true, and I'm considering just going with two stage. The idea is using eucalyptus, but also basically using plant growth - the first stage are immature seeds, basically an embryonic stage. The second stage is germination, when the seeds start sprouting, and the third is when they're more fully grown. I also considered playing with the male first stage design - having just one big leaf, with the eyes and gumnut helmet poking out. Second stage is starting to become more mobile, gaining legs and a more defined head, although still very much unformed and juvenile. And the third stage is a fully-realised tiny humanoid figure, using the leaves/blossoms as minimal clothing instead of pretty much burrowing into them.
I am open to changing them, though! What would you do for two-stage ones?

>>16104683 Regardless, Velvet worms do not become butterflies. They're their own category of invertebrate, scientists aren't quite sure where to place them. They spray sticky goo to immobilize prey before chewing them apart with their scary little hook teeth, they have retractable claws in each of their stumpy little legs, they're bizarrely social and intelligent for small invertebrates...
I like this butterfly mons design, but I feel like this is a massively missed opportunity.

If you're looking for another fossil, you can always go with Diprotodon, the giant Wombat. It'd definitely be either a bulky physical sweeper or one hell of a stone wall. Either way, I don't see Diprotodon being that fast.

There should be a lyrebird Pokémon with a literal lyre for a tail Like, when the bird sings it's the bird singing, but when it's copying the sounds it's actually the lyre "singing". Could evolve into a peafowl, or just a bigger lyrebird, or it could be a single stage.

Reposting this from old thread. Don't think anyone saw it. I thought i would share this idea with you guys for some feedback. It is supposed to be the final evolution of a possible pseudo legendary complete with OP ability roster. Obviously still needs a bit of work to be passable. What do you guys think ?
