Battle Maison horror stories? I'm doing well so far, but I'm only on battle 16 with a Protean Greninja, Tyranitar (mega stone) and Aegislash. So far the only bullshit that's happened is literally every electric type attack has paralyzed without fail.

But I haven't lost yet.

What have you experienced?

No, seriously, what. Shield Forme Aegislash can't stand a Flare Blitz from my Talonflame, so how can Bisharp with 50 base defense less survive it with 40%?

Nope, he survived with 40% HP, so the band/sash didn't have a chance to go off.

I considered that. If he did have one, I must have missed it, somehow. I don't think so, though he must have, otherwise it makes no sense.

50 base defense more and a bit more HP won't make that big a difference. It's still a STAB Flare Blitz.

Horrifying is the random shit they try and throw at you when you're racking up a streak. I used to get fucked by Umbreon and Houndoom, but I started running brick break on Mega Sciz and am now at a streak of 94.

Random shit I've seen:
Only ever setting up a sub against my infiltrator Chandy
Cloyster is weak to special attacks! Lets throw them at him!
Non Zen-Mode Special Darmanitan and Choice Specs Ambipom with Thunderbolt.
Random Magnet rising shit like Raikou on the second turn. I would've fucking killed you if I had EQ already.
