After getting a 5IV Jolly charmander with Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, Outrage, and Crunch for my Charizardite X, I decided to keep going, but this time going for Timid, for my Charizardite Y.

The goal there being was to either get a Shiny, since the father was a French Charmander I got from /vp/, or get a penta perfect so I could open up the Dragon and Mosnter Egg groups for easier breeding.

I finally got that penta perfect, but now I kind of want to keep going to see if I can get that Shiny. I don't particularly want to use a Shiny Charizard, but it might make a nice gift for a friend, or it might use it to get Xerneas off of somebody, or something else that's out of my reach.

MMing a petilil. As if the initial IV setup is bad enough, I have a 6IV Timid petilil, but my JPN Ditto is only 3 IV. You wouldn't believe how many of these stupid things turn out with only 3 IVs and one of those being ATK.

Something I have noticed (I am new to breeding). Sometimes the iv judge says a pokemon is outstanding yet only has 2 maxed IVs yet he may only say its superior when 3 are maxed. When he says 'this stat cannot be beat' is that just because it's fairly close to 31 but may not actually be maxed?

If it can't be beat, it's definitely 31. The 'outstanding' or 'superior' or whatever is determined by the IV total, so for example a 30/30/30/30/30/30 would be outstanding, with no 31s, but a 31/31/31/1/1/1 would not be outstanding, despite having 3 max IVs.

The outstanding bit means that the IV total that pokemon has is really high compared to others. If he says a stat can't be beat, it's definitely 31.

Your pokemon probably has really high IVs all around, with only the ones he said cannot be beat as maxed.

Struggling to find a decent Rotom at the moment. Managed to breed a few 5 IV Rotom but not with the right nature. Although I have to admit I'm still not too sure which to go with... Modest, calm or timid...?

Admittedly getting myself a 5IV female took long enough, but once I had two 5IV parents I just filled a whole box with eggs, checked them with the help of someone and one of the good eggs ended up matching the SV of some Brazilian kid who luckily came through and hatched it for me only to trade it back

I'm thinking about having a Eevolution, but i don't know which one.

Could you give me one of those eevees, please?
Also, what eevolution do you recommend? I think Leafeon and Flareon are cool.
Flareon finally got Flare blitz, so maybe he is viable now.

I have a question, expert breeders: I'm currently making my first attempt at Gen VI breeding. I'm trying to breed a 5IV Pokemon, with 31s in all but Sp.Atk. My current breeding parents are 4IV, one with HP/Atk/Sp.Def/Speed, the other with Def/Sp.Atk/Sp.Def/Speed. I'm of course using Destiny Knot/Everstone. I'm looking for a hidden ability, which both parents have.

How long should I expect it to take? Because it's taking a lot longer than I thought. Would this be a suitable situation to use that thing I've been hearing about where you reject and egg and determine the IVs of the next one to figure out the right parents?

You have 1/6 chance for not passing Sp Attack, and if you don't pass it, you have (1/2) * (1/2) chance for passing the right Def and Hp IV.

So you have 1/(6*2*2)=1/24=0.041 (4'1%)

If you want hidden ability, i think it's 1/3, so 1/24*3=0.01333 (1.3%)

After 3-4 boxes you should have it.

Trying to breed a perfect IV Wynaut.
Suffering...you can't put the incense, destiny knot and everstone in the daycare at once so I need to pray the right nature comes out everytime AND that it has the right IV's.

He was slightly wrong, if the mother has the hidden ability there's a 60% chance of passing it down, so it should be a little easier.

Sure! I can give you a 5IV Modest Omanyte or a 2 IV Happiny with charm, counter and aromatherapy.
2IV sounds sad, but Chanseys are female only, and it must carry Luck incense, so having 2-3 IV with a happiny is godlike.

I have tons of 4IV Electrikes too if you want one of them.

I decided to give breeding a try with Wobbuffet, figuring that, even if I messed up, all it'd really need are HP, Defense, and Special Defense.

I finally managed to come up with two with 31-IVs in everything but speed, though, which was neat.

My question, though, is if there's a way to get that 6th perfect IV, or if it's just random luck, in which case, why.

Thanks but this is my first breeding project so I don't have any breeding leftovers. Unless you wanted Zygarde or Mewtwo since legendaries aren't my thing. I did get a few Honedge from WT so I'll check if they're leftovers though.

Now I'm moving on to blazeitchicken, how do I work with the event torchic? It's male, so thats where im getting mixed up.

Starting my Skarmory project.

Needed Brave Bird and Whirlwind, so I FS'd a Rufflet and Candied it to 55 and 59 to learn both, and put it with a female Skarmory.

Currently have two 2IV Skarmory going at it, both with power items (Does that even work) until I hatch a Timid egg. Then I'll probably go through the rest with a ditto, or just catch a bunch of 2-3IV Skarmory in the FS to create eggs fater.

Have your murderchicken fuck an adamant ditto holding an everstone until it gives you a speed boost female, then use the female to breed with the best IV poke you have in her egg group.

Keep on plucking out the good IV pokes and breed them with one another until you get the perfect one.

Besides the fact that you need to breed Brave Bird onto it via Staraptor/Swanna/Braviary/Farfetch'd, there's nothing really complicated in breeding Taillow. Make sure it's Timid and you'll be okay.
