When I was younger and Togepi was still a new thing in the anime in my country and the German version, my sister and I somehow got some Pokémon stickers that had Togetic among them. We immediately thought it would be related to Togepi whose pokédex number we didn't even know and that sticker was one of our biggest treasures.
Not much later I've somehow got a printed picture of all the pokemon sprites from either gold or silver, not sure which. We were in awe of all the new Pokémon we have never seen before. Good times.
