The last pokemon game I bought was Soul Silver. Should I get Pokemon X? I hear it's a pretty major change from the other games

Also settling on X over Y because Pinsir, Aggron, Starmie, and Houndoom

I decided to get X because I like the legendary on the box more. Since the ancient times this has been the way to decide.

I'm only wary of buying it because of Z's inevitable release in a couple of years. I don't know if I could or should hold off for that long, though.

If you play X/Y right after HG/SS you will be severely disheartened. Play Diamond/Pearl or Black/White beforehand to buffer the disappointment a little
