Patches of course. Major DLC? Don't hold your breath. Masuda also mentioned no paid DLC. Free DLC is possible, but I have yet to see a company outside of the West do DLC properly let alone Free DLC.

The only patch we'll get is to add in whatever actual new content newer games may bring to the table so shit like the issues with Griseous Orb and Spiky-eared Pichu won't happen again. X and Y will not actually ever get new content on its own.
