Some moves can't be used by assist, so any other pokemon would have these moves.

It can't unless the only move it's teammates know is Spore and the few select moves that Assist don't choose

If you build your whole team around it so the only assist-able move the rest of your party has is spore, then it will use spore every time.

That's why people could use shadow force with it before, priority shadow force to become invulnerable on the first turn, holding a lagging tail to get a negative priority on your attack in the second turn. Apparently they fixed that one this gen though, this spore one is a neat alternative.

I feel you man, but in that case you should just use moves with 100% accuracy instead of building an entire team around a single pokemon not missing a 90% accuracy move that it can't even abuse to the full extent.
