I feel your pain so much right now.
I've bred four 5IV Venipede's in the last few hours none of which have Speed Boost.
Only thing keeping me going and not settling for one of my 4IV rejects is the fact I'm breeding with a Japanese Scyther, and my shiny Venipede could pop out at any moment, r-right?

I ended up trading a Zapdos for a 5IV Impish Gligar with Poison Heal. I'm okay with this.

I have 3 boxes full of god fucking damn male Prankster Riolus with 4-5 IVs and I still can't even get a 4-5 IV female and the females I do have have TERRIBLE IV spreads, to the point that I literally can not get a 5 IV male with the spread I want.

There is a line, I totally agree.

After 3 days, I had to take a step back and figure out another fucking way to breed this damn Chansey.

The way I approached it after was pretty simple and I managed to do it pretty quick after changing some bits around.

Parents don't pass down iv's without a destiny knot or power item, but the actual chances of breeding a perfect 6iv pokemon is abysmally low.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I didn't end up magically manipulating the rng to give me a 6IV Chansey in a matter of minutes.

It was more a case of scouring /vp/ and finding a replacement Male parent in the same egg group as Chansey.

I thought it would be fun to have a perfect offensive Rotom so I bred for a modest on purpose. But when I checked, everyone suggested it to be Calm. I'll only use it to get the last Battle Maison badge, and then it will probably go on the GTS.

I've been breeding for a timid protean Froakie for 3 days now, with the same parents. Both are 4IV and have 3 of them overlapping. The father has a timid nature and I have him equipped with an everstone while the mother is equipped with a destiny knot. They both have protean and I have bred for 3 days so far with literally 2 5IV ones, and both of them were female and had torrent. Did you get a 5IV/right nature/right ability pokemon in an hour or so? Congratulations, you got lucky.

I get the male first, with at leats 3 perfect IVs and good nature, then the female with 4 perfect IVs and the ability, then breed them together and get pentaperfect in a day

breed all the 5 IVs you want, takes roughly 1 hr starting from 0 IV scratch and dittos

So, what's the best way to go about breeding 6 IVs onto a Poke? I can manage 5 with some time, but 6 seems like it'd be impossible to do, considering you can only pass 5 via Destiny Knot.

Is it just that 1/31 chance?

i just realised something, theres no actual point using the IV checker to check newly hatched pokes is there, since if they have a stat of 6 at level one they have 31 in that IV

Um, no. That depends entirely on what species you're trying to breed and what base stats it has. Getting a jolly Hawlucha with a perfect speed IV would give it a 7 at level 1, and even with a perfect SpAtk IV, it would still be 4 or 5.

Cause males can't breed between themselves, and all other females I had were still just 3 IVs at best with awful spreads (HP,Def,SpDef) that made it god damn impossible to get 5ers even with a 5er father.

because as you probably know, they can only be male and females pass down the species so you cant use someone in the same egg group either

Whoever decided Riolu counts as a baby and thus can't breed can go fuck themselves. It takes half an hour to get a new potential parent situated running through Le WoW twice with a soothe bell.

breeding evees. bred a 5 iv male with a 2 iv anticipation female. after 10 eggs, get 6 iv male with anticipation. another 3 eggs, get 4 iv anticipation female. swap it out with the 2 iv female. after another 7 eggs, another 6 iv male. another 10 eggs another 6 iv anticipation male.

can't even get a 5 iv female anticipation evee.
