Hey /vp/
I'm building a mod for pokemonshowdown. I don't have a name for it yet, but I'm calling it 'Project OU' right now.
The goal of the project is to 'sensibly make every pokemon that isn't already OU or Uber, OU.' Uber pokemon will remain banned and won't be nerfed down to OU (nobody finds the idea of an OU Mewtwo or whatever, fun, I think) but everything from NFE to UU will be buffed accordingly to OU status. That is to say, the goal is to give a competitive niche to every non-Ubers pokemon. Yes, you too can now use Beedrill.
Here is the work I've done so far: http://pastebin.com/TMeGdMkU
If it lists abilities, some were added/changed. If it lists stats, some were changed. If it lists moves, some were added. I won't reduce stats, remove beneficial abilities (useless shit like Keen Eye and Illuminate have been replaced) or moves from the base game. Shit's getting buffed, that's it.
I need your help because although I'm confident I can do this, it's going to be time consuming to figure out how to fix every single pokemon. I'm not really focused on NFE right now, that's the last phase of the project, but I want advice from /vp/:
1. Find a non-OU pokemon that needs buffing.
2. Tell me how to buff it without being stupid. I kind of don't want to make all pokemon 500+ BST, Farfetch'd can still have shitty stats while still somehow being useful, I think (though it'll take some effort). I'm not against adding new abilities and shit, I know enough javascript... but I want to keep things intuitive. That's why, I'm not planning to buff the speed stat of any pokemon if I can help it (or add stupid random-ass moves). I want people who play this to be able to anticipate a pokemon's speed w/o looking at a changelog.
So, any ideas? The changes I've already made aren't at all permanent, open to suggestions.
