See, I, uh, actually live in Japan right now ^_^;
I get this imagery that the guys who ragequit like that are shut-ins that didn't get into college so they took their frustrations out on pokemon.
Admittedly Japanese players do seem on average to be a BIT more skilled than other players...I actually LOST to a girl who spent most of her time at a gathering playing Pokemon-Amie. Granted my team wasn't finished at the time but still...not what I expected!
My team's pretty cheap, though, a Choice Banded Gale Wings Talonflame, Belly Jet Azumarill, M-Mawile, Togekiss (who I'm trying to turn into a wall by giving it an Assault Vest), my ferrothorn that was been on the field for more ragequits than anything else, and my shiny gardevoir that I may replace with Malamar once I get one that works.
