So what are the odds of getting 5 IV from 2 4 IV parents?

I've got a bunch of 4 IV Venipede, attemping to get to 5 with 31/31/x/x/31/31 and 31/31/31/x/x/31. 45 eggs now and still no luck, some even has 2 or 3 IV...

I usually get a 5 IV within 10-15 eggs though, this is actually the first time i've had problem with it ...

There's roughly a 14%, or one in seven, chance of not having any 5IV pokemon in a batch of 40 eggs with those conditions, that hardly counts as bad luck.

and you have a knot, also assuming that if there is no inheritance the IV will be imperfect (lazy but only 1/32 chance anyways) the chances ought to be, like,
50% of the time, you don't inherit one of the 3 perfect IVs (4IV 1/4, 3IV 1/2, 2IV 1/4)

33.3% of the time, you don't inherit one of the partial IVs (4IV 1/2, 3IV 1/2)

16.7% of the time, you don't inherit the bum IV (Inheriting both of the mixed IVs happens 1/4 of the time [5IV], inheriting one of the mixed IVs happens 1/2 the time [4IV], inheriting neither happens 1/4 of the time [3IV].

You have a 1/24 ~ 4.2 percent chance of getting a 5IV egg from 2 4IV parents with a stat spread like that.

Incidentally, you have a 12.5% chance of getting a 2IV egg, a ~44.9% chance of getting a 3IV egg, and a ~37.4% chance of getting a 4IV egg.

I could have fucked up somewhere and all numbers are rough.
