Let's have this. A thread for people wanting help with building teams. I don't give a crap about online comp play, I just want to make a good team for fighting friends and Mansion and stuff like that. Things I want to use in my team: Protean Greninja (Mega) Aggron (Mega) Ampharos Things I consider using: Infiltrator Noivern, Magician Delphox, Pangoro, Sylveon, Tyrantrum, Charizard (lel), (Mega) Aerodactyl, Snorlax, (Mega) Gardevoir, Gallade So can someone give any suggestions which of those I should use to get a fairly well balanced team?

Filter on a Steel type with huge Defense is awesome but MAmpharos got huge Sp.Atk, so I don't know. Probably Aggron though.
What happens if a Mega Evolution gets knocked out or you revert to regular? Can you Mega evolve another?

I'm really interested on using a mega Absol on my team for that delicious magic bounce/suckerpunch combo. trying to decide how to build him or if I should build my team around him.

Use Volcarona. Alternatively, Mega Absol makes a great Baton Pass recipient since it's immune to status and phazing.

I don't give a flying fuck about competitive battling, I'm using pokemon I like and want to make a team that doesn't get sweeped because they're all weak against a single type.
Magician is better than Blaze and fucks up some pokemon pretty bad. Now shut the fuck up and go back to your online comp threads where every team has stealth rock and uses Scizor.

I want to play a super-defensive team in 3v3 rated singles in-game. I'm really unsure about how I want to construct it but I know that I want one mega-evolution and I've sorta fallen in love with the Regenerator ability so if I can make a switch-intensive (ie "you're using a physical attack so I switch to something designed to have high Def") team that'd be great. Wouldn't mind including things like phazing, entry hazards, wish, intimidate, knock off or heal bell either. Current candidates that I've brainstormed up so far are: Aggron, Amoongus, Arcanine, Audino, Blissey, Cloyster, Dragonite, Druddigon, Exeggutor, Ferrothorn, Forretress, Gardevoir, Gengar, Gliscor, Goodra, Gyarados, Jellicent (not yet available), Mantine, Mienshao, Mr. Mime, Reuniclus, Sableye, Scizor, Skarmory, Slowbro, Slowking, Snorlax, Steelix, Sylveon, Tangrowth, Tentacruel, Togekiss, Tropius, Umbreon, Vaporeon, Venusaur, Whimsicott (not yet available)

>Magician is better than Blaze Except magician requires you to not have an item and it's not even guaranteed to go off. You're willingly starting with less and attempting to maybe bring your opponent down to the same level. Whereas you could instead not use it and be on the same level to begin with.

My Battle Box team at the moment is: Lanturn, Kangaskhan, Druddigon, Drifblim, Scolipede and Probopass. Wasn't expecting it to be a powerhouse team but it was going pretty decently in Random battles. I just got demolished when attempting Rated battles though, while the team can hold its own against certain OUmons, against a whole team of them then they just fall apart. Probably going to have to make some major editing or complete rehaul sadly, I wanted to see how well my favorite Pokes would work as a team.

Can outspeed and 2HKO Ttar, unless it's built specially bulky >Excadrill - outspeeds and OHKOs Rotom-W unless they built it defensively bulky for whatever reason. I also threw on Poison Jab as a 4th move until I get access to Iron Head, to check Florges. >Azumarill - Assault Vest Azu can survive M-Gengar and M-Zam's Thunderbolts and 2HKO. has been taking people by surprise since no one really pays attention to Azumarill's bulk. Might be able to check Blaziken though I haven't done the math. If Azumarill can check Blaziken, what would be good to replace Talonflame with that's available pre-PokeBank? I was thinking something that could counter Ttar better like M-Saur, but if there's some glaring OU threat that I'm not thinking of, that'd be great to know.

I just bred a 5IV team for shiggles and I want to properly EV train them but I don't know shit about how to do it. They're all freshly hatched, and I want to make sure I do this right. Should I just super train them to max EVs in the stats I want and then train them for exp? Is that how that works? For the record, the team will be Noivern, Pikachu @Light Ball, Camerupt, Ludicolo, Gardevoir, and Aggron.

Any veteran of comp. battling can probably help me out on this one. I have a Pangoro that has Iron Fist as its ability, he's holding a metronome and he knows Power-Up Punch. So basically, I want to hit the enemy over and over again so he can gain enough power to essentially wipe out anything they throw out. I've also given him Taunt in cause any smearglefags wants to say hi. The only problem is his Defense and Special Defense are utter shit. With a gardevoir, I can do a double battle and use Light Screen and Reflect, and if Pangoro sustains to much damage, it can use Heal Pulse to heal him up, but I need to know what can help in a single battle situation. TL;DR: Help Pangoro last long enough to fuck shit up.
