>Blaziken's only counters are Azumarill and Talonflame
People are acting like this is the only thing that Azumarill and Talonflame can do or be used for. In my own experience, both Talonflame and Azumarill are just as viable in competitive play as Blaziken is, and perhaps to an extent, be even more dangerous than Blaziken entirely. Priority sweepers such as these two can only be countered by faster priority users once they get going, and that's often overlooked entirely in competitive Pokémon. The Speed stat is rendered obsolete by these two dangerous motherfuckers.
In addition, we've recieved solid counters to Speed Boost Blaziken in this generation. Aegislash heavily cripples Blaziken or forces a switch with King's Shield. Klefki can possibly phaze and kill it with Swagger+Foul Play or freely set up Substitutes. And although this isn't one for the books, I walled a Blaziken to death using Chesnaught with a Leech Seed+Spiky Shield combo. Chesnaught isn't OU material, but it can take at least one hit of whatever Blaziken throws at it given the right EV training.
The one thing all these explanations have in common is PRIORITY. Priority is faster than Blaziken, and we're seeing a lot of priority in this generation's developing OU metagame.
