There was huge potential for Fairy to be Pokemon inspired by fairy tales, instead they mostly just went for "pink cuddly things". Laverre is great because it introduces the whole "mystery" aspect, especially after the spooky marshes but somehow the actual Fairy type doesn't match up to that
