This is a thread in which I will post as if I am in charge of creating a 3rd gen remake game. Any and all critisms and questions welcome (But I ask that you hold them until I finish). I'll be breaking this into parts. I hope you enjoy!

Plot

>1 year after the events of X&Y
>Start off on a small, little known island off west a la B&W2
>Have a rival named Joey
>Get your first pokemon (Gen 3 starters), pokedex have1st battle
>Get a ride from Sailor Briney’s son
>Land right below Rustboro city (entrance to city is blocked off forcing you to go to petalburg)
>Get badges in order of: Petalburg -> Dewford -> Rustboro -> Mauville -> Lavaridge-> Fortree -> Lilycove -> Mossdeep (now a dark type gym) -> Sootopolis
>Face your rival after every gym (though not immediately)
>He becomes less friendly towards you after every battle
>Begins hating you by the 4th gym
>Reforms team aqua in sapphire and team magma in ruby
>Tells them he’s all for expanding the ocean/land
>They begin hunting kyogre/groudon
>You stop their plans every once in a while until the 8th gym
>You get a holocast from professor birch
>Joey caught Kyogre/Groudon and has challenged you to a match at the top of mount Pyre
>Joey tricked team aqua/magma into helping him catch Kyogre/Groudon; doesn’t give a fuck about land/ocean expansion
>You go to mount pyre
>Dramaticcutscene.mp4
>He’s seems insane
>He tells you about his plan
>Then tells you about how he can’t possibly lose to you because the blue/red orb will unleash the ultimate pokemon
>Que battle
>5 regular Pokemon he has throughout his journey and his last is a Kyogre/Groudon
>Mega evolves
>Blue/Red orbs were actually mega stones
>Defeat him
>He storms off furiously
>Team aqua/magma disband after realizing they were duped
>Go to elite 4
>Same types as before only ice is replaced with fairy
>Champion is joey
>Rematch (his pokemon are a higher level)
>Defeat him
>He concedes that you are the best trainer
>Inducts you into hall of fame
>Apologizes and releases Kyogre/Groudon after credits
>Kyogre is in an deepsea cavern and Groudon is inside the volcano by Fallarbor town
>Holding their mega-stones

(Of course there are minor and possibly major events left out)

This is stupid.

Once you've set up a hexaflawless male for each egg group, you don't need to worry about tedious breeding ever again.

For the second part, why the hell NOT allow 6 perfect IVs?

My thought was that no pokemon should be able to be absolutely perfect as that takes the point out of RNG in the first place. Every pokemon should have at least one shortcoming, it's what makes them 'special'.

Admittedly I could see how this wouldn't work or how 20 could be too low. Anything much higher than 20 would defeat the purpose.

It's not that it wouldn't work or something, it's that there's literally no reason to do it.

Again, the only tedious part of breeding is setting up a hexaflawless male of each egg group. You can do that with 7 Pokemon. After that, you can go from trash to a penta in 15 minutes.

IV breeding is easy this gen. It takes less than a day to go from basic pokemon to pentaperfect.

Yes, I personally have no problem with breeding and breeding is "easy" but it's still grinding and time consuming no matter which way you put it. Pokemon in the friend safari already have 2 perfect IVs so i'm just expanding on Gamefreak's idea.
