There are several ways to counter Aegislash, but in a Maison/Online battle with only 3 Pokemon, it's very possible you just don't have that counter, or it may have fainted before your opponent brought out Aegislash, which means you're fucked.

So I am not allowed to use Pokemon I like? Anyway, I don't like people saying 'you should never use smogon pokemon ever' because there are certain pokemon that are metagame popular because they are the only pokemon that can ever do the job that they do, it's not because they're horribly op (but sometimes it is) it's just the fact that you can't possibly:
Be as bulky with good priority as scizor
Tank hits as well as jellicent/ferrothorn
Trap enemies as well as dugtrio
etc etc
Sometimes you need one of those guys to fill a hole in your team, I used to run a team of stuff I really liked that had synergy together, mostly RU/UU, stuff like Gallade Nidoking Dusclops etc. One of their biggest problems was there was no good priority, so I added Scizor. Did Scizor win every single match singlehandedly? Fuck no! Scizor died a lot and often didn't have the oomph to fight bulky monsters, but he did patch up the priority hole and he gave me a good switchin to physical moves (which worked amazingly with Gallade) he glued the team together and improved it significantly, but I still won mainly through Gallade sweeps and Dusclops ruining the enemy's offensive threats.
