Can we all just agree Shiny Pokemon are worth just as much as non shinies?

With both instacheck AND GameFreak making the chances to find shinies higher what's the point of them being worth anything?

They're not worth a Mega Stone, a Leftovers, not even a Life Orb.

Maybe they're worth a little more than a non-shiny (unless it's a fishing) but that's it.
