So after listening to all of the OSTs of the mainline series, I decided which games had the best OSTs in order:

D&P > HG&SS > B&W > B2&W2 > RBY > G&S > bwabwaabwaabwaaaaaaaaa (ie R&S)

Thoughts?

Hoenn music was eggsellent. BW2 soundtracks were better than BW as well. DP was good as fuck, but I think I prefer HGSS to it

Had it since day 1. You really appreciate the music more than the other games if you hear it from the official OST. I forgot to rank it but it's between BW and B2W2.

It fits in perfectly, that's all that matters.
Not only the last battle, but every battle. It was god damn annoying to hear that beeping remix when you were enjoying the pace of the original music.

OP here I should add that my hypest thing is when the music is slightly different based on criteria, Like DPPt changing some tracks based on the time of day or BW/B2W2 changes to some tracks based on the ingame seasons.

Ruby and Sapphire are hard to place. The actual compositions themselves are really good, but it sounds really dated now.

Pokemon TCG, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Puzzle League, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon Battle Revolution.

I actually liked the low hp music. It was somewhat annoying, but it was basically to tell you "Hey, faggot, why is your Pokemon dying? Fucking heal him, you shit."

Especially during boss fights where you have no business dicking around in the red.
