I really feel like the pokemon are supposed to grow up with you, but this kind of mentality is never applied to more popular pokemon things. I find it a doggone shame because I would prefer this to little kiddies being able to run around with grown up pokemon or that pokemon "don't want to evolve" for some arbitrary reason. No. Disregarding game mechanics, they should always evolve, and if they didn't, then something is wrong.
