OHKOs are banned because they can completely fuck up an opponent purely due to luck with little cost. Pokemon that try to paraflinch are countered by a very common typing and are dead weight if luck isn't on their side, as opposed to OHKO-using Pokemon which is only countered by mons that used Sturdy and are still useful even if they can't get off their OHKO move. Metronome is an absolute joke and will almost never score any wins unless you're fighting against someone utterly terrible.
