So I've run into a dilemma, I've got 2 - 6IV modest horsea to make a kingdra, the thing is I wanted him to have a decent hidden power so that he could have more coverage. Grass, fire, or electric would have worked, but the only problem is having 4 - 6 pretty much guarantees that he'll have a shit hidden power. I'm not sure if I wanna sacrifice his bulk, but what should I do otherwise? Should I just ignore hidden power? I kind of want him to survive hits.

You ignore Hidden Power. Hydro Pump/Draco Meteor does more damage than a super effective HP.

I don't see why Kingdra would use a 60 base power Hidden Power. Perhaps Hidden Power Fire if you really hate Ferrothorn, but even then I would prefer Scald for the added utility.

Unresisted Draco meteor or hydro pump do more damage over all and the combination is only resisted by a handful of pokes.
