You know, it's not the fact of using Aegislash, but the fact that EVERY FUCKING ONE is the same!
Same moveset, same "strategy" and to put the cherry on the shit cake, they put it in the same team as M-Kangaskhan, Protean Greninja, M-Mawile, M-Shizor and the list goes on. If people had at least some creativity I wouldn't hate that sword so much.

Relaxed 252 HP 252 Atk 4 SDef
Swords Dance
Sacred Sword
Shadow Sneak
Shadow Ball

They go for the SE hit, usually an EQ, hence Relaxed. Triggers the Policy, and you Swords Dance in tandem. They switch to their physical wall in fear of Sneak and you wreck it with the unexpected special attack.
But guess what fucker? You still have +4 attack and STAB priority while they have no wall.
This guy is also a case for why we will never have 5 moveslots.

Fuck if smogon is recommending that then fuck using them for set recommendations.

Aegislash has no for of recovery, and the idea of his defensive stance is to setup sweep or tank a hit and attack. Leftovers is hardly enough recovery to warrant being the item to use and its better to just use him with more power.

The very first thing anyone should do when going against Aegislash is use any sort of status move that'll likely fuck it up, if available.

Like severe debuffs (Charm, Fake Tears, etc), Thunder Wave, Taunt/Torment, moves to buff stats of their own pokemon, etc.

My favorite is mixed autotomize weakness policy. Makes for a good late-game sweeper/cleaner.

Hidden Power Ice

Rash is preferred since people are more likely to EQ it but it comes down to preference really.

I don't use the above set that much anymore though. Now I mostly use wallbreaker mixed set with spooky plate.

Sure, you have decent defensive stats, but that doesn't mean you WANT to keep taking repeated hits. If you can outspeed base 150s with a single boost, why would you opt for taking damage every turn instead of just flat out killing?

Yeah. I think Im one of 3 people who have a Special Attack Aegislash; just to test it out and play as a trick. Point is, no one, not at the moment at least, is going to have a special attack on Aegislash. In other news, Avalugg keeps on taking hits and dishing out EQ with weakness policy. Enjoying dem dead swords.

If you're not running king's shield, you're incredibly susceptible to dying if you don't kill, swords dance is a necessity, especially if you're running shadow sneak over shadow claw.

King's Shield doesn't restore health and you still take damage despite 150 defenses, because 60 base HP.

Weakness policy enhances Dances, not replaces them. You can get 4x in two moves and Shadow Sneak everything to rape town, King's threatening offenses like Kanga to switch to a SSword and you're gold.

What does /vp/ use on Salsamence for wifi given that I can't tutor Poutrage and probably shouldn't given the fact that it telegraphs that the enemy should switch to a fairy?

I'm using a Naive Moxiemence with Attack and Speed, with Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Earthquake, and Fire Blast. Any suggestions?

I don't want to wait until bank comes out to use Salamence and I want mine to be legal for tourneys, so I want a Kalos native one.

I just stay in Shield mode and get off an autotomize or two then just switch to blade form and sweep. Kings shield is used incase any priority move users appear.

It's quite risky since his HP is quite crap but if you can get the speed boosts in he doesn't need to keep switching between shield and blade form all the time to be effective.
