Diancie is apparently known as the Jewel Pokemon. Another Pokemon to share that species name is Carbink. If that doesn't scream related then I don't know what does.
Volcanion is known as the Steam Pokemon, which is I guess expected from the first Fire/Water type.
Hoopa is known as the Mischief Pokemon. There were theories circulating a couple weeks back about Hoopa being based off of Loki, the Norse god of mischief. This puts some emphasis on it And it might have Prankster.
