It's interesting how much better the background is compared to the fakemon. Although the bg's color is really damn heavy, it's kinda tiring to look at. And well, work on the lineart. Use a stabilizer if you have to, unless you are trying to go to art school, the end result is the only thing that matters. So don't be afraid to "cheat" as long as it improves your art. And change the fakemon's color scheme to something less neon. And it might be a good idea to change the bg's color to something that contrasts with the fakemon's a bit more, as it is, it blends in way too much. I mean, the first thing I noticed were the trees, and I doubt that was your intention.
