If anything, some bugs thrive in arctic conditions that most species would just die in.

Some bugs can be submerged in extremely cold temperatures for long periods of time and just wake up like they just took a goddamned nap and diving into the anti-sun was no big deal.

Seems like baton pass strategies draw in the kiddies. A couple days ago i fought some kid who would baton pass one Scolipede speed boost onto things only to have them die or get phazed the next turn. Wish i could have got a replay of it too. Went until the last mon doing this shit.

the instant you see it use cosmic balk you instantly switch to whatever can roar / whirlwind, a single or 2 cosmic balks wont hit that hard with stored power

The only pokemon that are decided in this theory fight are blood totem and and a fast dark type with roar, you can't say either way how the fight before that went, if blood totem is your last pokemon then if the opponent has a dark type you are fucked, if they switch that dark mon into blood totem at any time in a fight unless you randomly used whirlwind, blood totem is going to lose it's boosts it's whole gimmick is fucked over by a dark type just recognize that, it's strong but it has hard counters

In your imaginary battle the dark user has planned the battle perfectly so that his dark pokemon is alive to kill the enemies Sigilyph. I'm saying that the Sigilyph user has done the same and made sure there are no dark types in play before attempting to set up or has atleast burned/neutralized it beforehand. But you don't want to think about that. I guess smogon himself would know better than anyone else.

with his set, yeah. but with flame orb and psycho shift, which is better, you could easily stall a dark type without recovery options. the only thing that walls that is houndoom, but even that you can maybe stall out until the person gets mad and quits. if you can see what your opponent has to use and you reserve blood totem until you take care of the few things that can wall it, you're in great shape and it's almost impossible to take him down.
