as is KlK. There are some scenes that parody a current trend in animes or some shit, but this doesn't stick throughout the show.
as i said, TTGL and KlK just want to have fun. When parodying is something fun to do in a certain situation, they will do parody.
You can argue there enourmous social commentary in TTGL (start of arc 2 anyone?) and also in KlK (the whole ranking system) but that's far from the main focus. That's just there because it felt like being there, not because it wants to make people think about serious issues.
