Finally shelled out for a 3ds, and got another $50 set aside for pokemon.
Excited and pumped as fuck, last game I played was pokemon black back in 2011 or something.

What's the best feature of the new pokemon games compared to pokemon black and older.

oh yeah, can you get free virtual console games or any kind of giveaway software? I bought it second hand, so I don't think it's coming with anything or even the AR cards. Thing is I will only have pokemon y and my DS games which are few in number and old.

The models aren't bad but we could have done without them.

It was an attempt to boost the sales and it worked though so hopefully they can work on them in the future.

no, the happiness thing is still the same

but it does give your pokemon effects in battle like hanging on becase it "didn't want to disappoint it's trainer" and things like YOU CAN DO IT (NAME)!

it sounds cheesy, but it's pretty cute.

I did the same thing for this gen.
Last pokemon I played was Diamond.

are the pokemon sized correctly? It's full 3d, so sprites are no longer restricted in size. I want to see Snorlax and Charizard as 10x bigger than a rattata or caterpie or something

Don't forget "in sync" crits and "pulling through" statuses. I think I enjoy the speediness of the game and that it's one of the few games I feel like you can 100%.

I wanted an XL, but I settled for a regular 3ds since it was cheaper and the 2ds is a steaming load.

Is pokemon x/y cheaper as a cartridge or a download?

They are sized better, but to a degree. The Pokemon and the circles they stand on are sized appropriately, but not to scale. Joltik is bigger than 4 inches and Wailord isn't exactly as big as hoped. Big, but not humongous.

It cost 5$ more (45$) on the Nintendo eshop when I bought it on release day.

I only bought it from there because Gamestop wouldn't open early enough before I went on a road trip.
