because while priority brave bird/acrobatics is really fucking good

it has plenty of viable things that can deal with it.

washtom, almost any rock type, or anything just bulky enough to tank it.

put a x4 to sneaky stones on top of that and you got yourself an OU for life.

it MIGHT get banned, but not before megaskhan, gengarite, gensect, or the deoxys formes

He's really overrated.
80~ whatever base attack he is is incredibly low for a sweeper. Rock types wall his STABs, the only moves we can do decent damage with.

Is a garbage coverage move that sacrifices SD/WoW/U-Turn/Tailwind so he can STILL not be able to OHKO a type that will instantly murder him in return.
He usually can't OHKO anything either WITH Brave Bird/Flare Blitz unless he has a Life Orb/Band, both of which are really counter-intuitive to his playstyle

The thing I don't get is that Flame Body Talonflame is basically a garbage Pokemon, even though he has enough Speed to outspeed almost everything anyway. Add in priority to his Brave Bird - which basically only gives him an advantage over a couple of commonly used high-Base Speed Pokemon - and suddenly people seriously think he;s OP? Priority doesn't really do a huge amount to something that's already very fast and AT BEST lets him him beat a few extra things that he couldn't otherwise.

In most cases, no there isn't. If you're faster than something (which Talonflame is, in most cases) then you move first. If you have priority, you move first. It's the same thing. Priority only lets Talonflame move quicker than/beat a few select things that it couldn't do the same to without Brave Bird.

The only actual distinction between having Priority and having high Speed is that Priority can avoid Sucker Punch and move before other Priority. It's not such a massive deal.

You can't outspeed priority without your own priority, and good luck having a priority move that compared to a stab 120bp move.

No one even likes Rotom. Everybody only uses him because his overpowered form changes are the only way to make Fire type not suck shit and because Lanturn is an absolutely fucking terrible piece of shit. Rotom is on every fucking team and the only reason is because it only has one fucking weakness.

This. Talonflame will only wreck your shit if you're running some shitty copypasta hyper offense team. Sneaky pebbles absolutely destroy it and rotom-W is pretty much a perfect counter. M-Blaziken being broken, i can kind of agree on (i don't think regular blaziken should be banned though)but the idea of banning Talonflame is laughable.
