>>16362063In game, each starter is fine. Saying one has an advantage over another is silly. You can beat a Rock type gym with a fire type, an electric gym with a water type, or a fire gym with a grass type, because in-game trainers are shit, and probably a good 10 levels below you.
If you want to be autistic about it, you could note that, for example, there has been an Electric Gym in every game sans Gen 2, unless you count postgame. If so, there has been an electric gym leader in every game. There's also been a grass leader in all but two gens.
