Depending on which canon you adhere to, I'd be willing to consider the original bird Trio to be minor "gods" in this sense, with Mewtwo qualifying as well on psychic power alone. Even if Arceus created everything in the Pokeverse, that doesn't necessarily make it immortal nor invulnerable, it "merely" makes it a force of creation/genesis. You can have one without the other(s).

Partly that it follows the rules that it and the other three creation 'mon established: Most of the legendaries abide by that even though they can blink you out of existence.
Partly that it likes battling simply by merit of being a Pokemon.
Partly that while Arceus is the prime deity of the Pokeverse there's nothing that really shows him as being omnipotent without support from the Unown, which are another mystery altogether.

Usually the kids that use them don't have anything but psychic and aura sphere on them, which doesn't affect Sableye. Everything else is negated by taunt. Foul Play is also SE To Mewtwo and Mega-Y, and any competent player running X will have EV trained their Atk stat anyways.
