I like the new art but the old art certainly has this 90s charm to it. I think what I really liked about is that the old art generally has more dynamic poses than the new art. Compare the Ivysaur in my post to the one in the OP. New Ivysaur is just...kind of standing there, while the Old Ivysaur looks like he's about to attack.
